As one of six research Departments in the faculty, the mission of the Department of Cell Research & Immunology is to study and promote research of human health and diseases at the cellular and molecular levels. Our over 100 members - faculty, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and research staff - work at the cutting edge of biology from basic through clinical research to applied applications.
Our faculty members conduct cross-disciplinary research through inter-departmental collaborations and joint work with world-class academic and industrial researchers throughout the world.
The faculty members of our Department are engaged in teaching major undergraduate courses and advanced courses. In addition, the Department enables selected undergraduate students to perform research-projects under the supervision of senior scientists, already while in their second or third year of study. The Department is committed to providing a strong environment for students and to delivering world-class research training; our graduates and postdocs compete successfully for leading academic and industry positions, both within Israel and worldwide.
