Research Interests

Amnon Friedberg’s research engages with taxonomic, biological and ecological studies on various groups of flies (Insecta: Diptera), with special emphasis on fruit flies (Tephritidae) and related families (Tephritoidea). He studies the biodiversity of these and other groups of insects in various 'hot-spots' worldwide, in particular Israel and tropical Africa.
