TAU Faculty of Life Sciences Ranked #1 in Biology Among Israeli Universities

Each year the US News and World Report evaluates and ranks more than 1000 international universities, primarily considering factors such as quality and quantity of research output, and overall reputation.

Tel Aviv University (TAU) is honored this year to not only be included as one of the world’s best universities (ranking #187) but as also having one of the world’s best universities for Biology. According to the US News and World Report 2017 ranking of Global Universities, Tel Aviv University is listed at #98 globally in Biology and Biochemistry, ahead of the other Israeli research universities. Tel Aviv University also ranks #1 in Israel among the research universities for Molecular Biology and Genetics (#110) and Neuroscience and Behavior (#122).

TAU was also the only non-U.S. university to rank in the top 10 universities for venture capital backed-entrepreneurs by the Pitchbook Universities Report. Of the hundreds of companies founded by TAU graduates, more than 10% were in the fields of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, health care and biotechnology.
