The system ensures radioisotopic imaging with high sensitivity, which comes from Fujifilm's unique and reliable technologies. Imaging plate (IP) consists of a radiosensitive layer of photostimulable phosphor crystals on a polyester support. The IP accumulates irradiated radiation energies on exposure for further scanning excitation process. The innovation and ergonomic design provides a broad range of advantages.

FLA-5100 has three kinds of excitation laser beams: 473nm and 532nm. The system has four filters (510nm, 575nm, 665nm, and a filter for IP) for upgrading flexibility.
