Operetta CLS High-Content Analysis System
The Operetta CLS is a cutting-edge, high-throughput confocal imaging system designed to revolutionize cell biology research and drug discovery.
The Operetta CLS is an automated microscope system that combines advanced optics, flexible illumination, and sophisticated software to acquire, analyze, and manage a vast amount of image data from various cellular assays.
It's built for High-Content Analysis (HCA), meaning it can extract quantitative information from individual cells and entire populations within multi-well plates or slides, offering a comprehensive "phenotypic fingerprint" of your samples.
Key Features:
-
Confocal Spinning Disk Technology: High-resolution images, especially for thicker samples like 3D cell cultures (spheroids, organoids).
-
Significantly faster acquisitions and reduced phototoxicity and photobleaching, crucial for live-cell imaging experiments.
-
Multiple LED Sources: The system typically boasts up to eight high-power LED-driven excitation bands: 355-385; 435-460; 460-490; 490-515; 530-560; 560-575; 615-645 and 650-675 nm.
-
Four emission wavelength bands:
-
430-500 nm
-
500-550 nm
-
570-650 nm
-
655-760 nm
-
-
Transmission channel: One transmission (bright field channel) with optional Digital Phase Contrast.
-
Enhanced sensitivity sCMOS Camera: Low noise, wide dynamic range, and high resolution of 2160x2160 pixels with binning possibility.
-
High NA objectives (Water-Immersion supply is automated):
-
10x Air NA 0.3
-
20x Air NA 0.4
-
20x Water NA 1.0
-
40x Air NA 0.75
-
63x Water NA 1.15
-
-
Time-lapse live cell imaging: Short- and long-term time sequencies with up to 100 fps.
-
Suitable for: 1536, 384 and 96-well with glass, polystyrene or cyclic olefin bottom plates as well as for glass slides with coverslip.
-
Integrated Environmental Control: For live cell imaging the system exhibits precise temperature and CO2 control (e.g., 37-42°C and 1-10% CO2).
