Nature Conservation
Nature conservation is an applied field engaging with a variety of methods and tools aimed at preserving the variety of species and the healthy functioning of the natural systems.
Our aim to protect nature derives from recognition of the need to develop vital and applicable uses for the benefit of humankind, based on the variety of services provided by the ecosystems, such as pollination, production of oxygen, water purification and more.
The research approaches and methods that serve in nature conservation are based on scientific studies in the fields of ecology, zoology and behaviour, for which the endpoint for many of these studies in our School is the application of the acquired knowledge in order to minimise the impact of humankind on the natural world and its processes.
