Physiology
Research in the field of physiology studies the mechanical and biochemical functioning of various systems in the animal body or the whole body itself.
Understanding their functioning is a necessary condition for our ability to understand how animals react to their environment and how they might react to the expected changes. Consequently, research into these issues at the School generally include aspects connected to the environment and its influence, or comparisons between the different taxonomic groups, in order to understand the evolutionary development of the different systems among the branches of the animal kingdom tree.
The possible research subjects include – nutrition, metabolism, biological clocks, the effect of artificial lighting on animal functioning and more.
