The Noah Naftulsky Ecological Garden

Approximately half of the Botanical Garden is dedicated to an Ecological Garden, named in honor of Noah Naftulsky (1883-1974). A devoted botanist and plantsman who immigrated to Israel during the Second Aliyah, Naftulsky passed away with no relatives and bequeathed his estate to establish the Botanical Garden.

 

The garden is divided into distinct sections that correspond to various native habitats found across Israel. In each section, you can observe the common flora characteristic of that environment, alongside rare and endangered plants, often referred to as "Red Species," that are typical of the specific habitat.
