My research interests are: 

  • The mechanism of the natural genetic exchange system of Haloferax volcanii.
  • Understanding the mode of adaptation of halophilic enzyme to function at extremely high salt concentrations.
  • Study bacteriorhodopsin biogenesis.
  • Developing genetic tools for Hf. volcanii.
  • Quorum sensing in halophilic archaea.
