Our faculty maintains a high level of education through intensive coursework and guided lab mentorship. English-language M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees are offered by the Schools of Molecular Cell Biology & Biotechnology, Plant Sciences & Food Security, Neurobiology, Biochemistry & Biophysics and Zoology. These schools offer the following MSc programs: Plant Science, Zoology, Biochemistry, Theoretical and Mathematical Biology, Ecology and Environmental Quality, Neurobiology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Cell Research and Immunology, Bioinformatics, and Materials Engineering and Nanotechnologies.
For Ph.D. and post-doctoral candidates, our 90+ research labs offer a diverse range of options. Students can see their research come to life in labs housed in the University Botanical Gardens, the I.Meier Segals Garden for Zoological Research, the Institute for Cereal Crop Improvement, and the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History. Additional study opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students include the Summer Institute in Food Safety & Security and the undergraduate Summer Research Program in Biological and Neuro Sciences.
