Research Interests

My lab seeks to develop a safe and economical measles vaccine for immunization of human beings and to obtain lifelong protection against measles. During the last 15 years, one of the major efforts in my laboratory has concerned the measles virus, and the research goals are: reconstitution of a new virus, molecularly tailored, for the purpose of future vaccination, and the eventual eradication of the virus.
